Services · Junior-year jumpstart

Senior year starts now

A focused engagement for 11th graders who want to walk into application season ahead of it.

Why junior year is the hinge

By junior year the transcript is mostly what it is. What is still wide open is everything else: the list, the testing plan, the story your application will tell, and the essay that anchors it. Students who sort those out before senior fall apply calmer, earlier, and better. Students who do not spend October in triage.

The jumpstart is a compressed version of how I work with long-term students, aimed at exactly this window. We skip nothing important. We just move with purpose.

Common questions

When does this start?
Ideally between January and June of junior year. Rising seniors can still do a compressed version over the summer.
What happens after the jumpstart?
Some families continue into senior-fall application support, some carry the plan forward on their own. Both are fine, and there is no pressure toward either. No upselling is a founding principle here.
Is this too late to make a difference?
No. Junior year is when most of the highest-leverage decisions get made. Late is starting in October of senior year, and even then things are fixable.
